92 Saturn after new timing chain, re-manufactured head and new pistons and rings and rod bearings while block stayed in car. The microphone made the motor sound loud, yet it is not. Head done by Cylinder Heads International located in Texas, great people to deal with.

Hey i have a CP-4 and i'm trying to do the mod now. Do i wire the cable on all 3 shunts? Because, you're shunts are on the middle/right section. But mine are left/middle sections wired. Will it make a difference?

Far as I know no taxes are due for moped registration in California, I was not required to. DMV form 230 with $25 for lifetime registration and plate . However over 3000W is more than the max 4 brake horse power for a moped and will no longer qualify as a moped.

i have a new city coco m3/chopper. the lighting system does not work. Can you tell me where to look for the fuse or how to fix that? I am wondering if it shorted when it was first connected. HELP. I am NOT an electrician by any means. I do not have a diagram like yours. I have notified the store seller for warranty service. In the meantime, if it is a simple fix, I am all ears. My Bike gets power to the speedometer, and will go into gear to ride. Just no lights.

The kickstand is down or one of the brakes is applied or shorted wires to the brake handles switches, or kickstand wires shorted.

This mod need another battery. Those batteries are not made for high current. It is much better to go for another controller that is programmable and build a now battery with higher voltage. 20s is way faster than 16s and you dont need more amps. 84v and 35 amp gives you 3000 watts and it should have a max speed of about 45-50 mph A 20s8p with 21700 cells will give you about 84v 40Ah and a range up to 80 miles

Check your brake switches and kick stand switch and wires that they both will disable the bike.

To be clear for those not following I now have bought 6 of these all said to be for 60V and none have been. Video has been taken to support this for purpose of refunds which have been successful. I am using 2 of these that I have tricked into working with 60V battery.
i have bought 3 of them, and all of them are different inside lol. one of them, is literally 100% identical to a sabvoton ml7260s, the others are close, but have different pinout for the wiring.
Fwiw, another one of these controllers just arrived. This one advertised and "labelled" as 60v-72v. It is 48 V and 72V only.
You said you are "versed".with this controller. Versed meaning "experienced or skilled in; knowledgeable about". I am just a consumer to, but have done some homework.
Programmed to have 72v battery by default.
THERE IS A JUMPER CONNECTOR YOU CONNECT TOGETHER TO PUT IT IN 72V MODE, OTHERWISE WITHOUT IT IS 60V MODE.
My batter is 60v, 67.2v fully charged. 72v battery lvc 62.5v
I ADDED A 4S IN SERIES WITH MY 60V TO MAKE 72V FOR MY FIRST 72V BATTERY.

@@Szechaun_Don you need to disconect the white wires. they are "learning" wires, not "soft start". I was having the same issue.

I USED A 40A CAR RELAY WITH A MOMENTARY BUTTON TO "ENGAGE" THE SHUNT TO USE AS A SLIGHT BOOST OF TORQUE, IT DID NOT HELP IN TOP SPEED, THE RELAY WAS BECAUSE THE DIRECT SHUT WAY WAS WAY TO ABRUPT ON THE DYNAMIC/RE GEN BRAKING.
Does the description on the paper match your controller? At two points, for example, the ground is not there, as it is on the panel. I have a different type of controller on my bike. It failed because the top speed suddenly became 25. Everything I do is 25 speed. I bought one of this type, but it has a different connection, so it has to be rewired. It's good that I found this video, but as I mentioned, there are 1-2 problems.

@@TechKnowCSS The paper matches my controller in it. Is there a wiring diagram for the SS12-60V-YTC-25? The symbols on the panel do not match. HALL sensor, GND and VCC ok. Throttle lever, brake switch, gear shifter and the TXD connection would be required. Thanx
Dear Sir; I hope you are doing well. I know very well that you’re a high-level expert on BLDC controllers. I live in Turkey and I freshly bought a New 2020 Shansu (citycoco) CP-4 3000w 12*7.5 inch fat tire BLDC Chopper from reseller. I am in the edge of upgrading my controller and I don’t like to waste any money, but find the most accurate and compatible controller for my bike. Unfortunately no one here seems to know anything about BLDC controllers especially related to these kind of motorbikes. Therefore your consultation is very appreciated. My system is 60V&35A by default however installed an extended battery pack and with default controller, now it’s running on 17S7P (3C) 64V & 35A battery setup. By the way the original wiring is terrible. Therefore I upgraded the wire between battery and controller to 10AWG while upgrading the power slots to XT-90. By default, I can reach 700-722 RPM with no problems under many conditions, that means 65-70km/h. However, more torque & max speed is a must, when it comes to dealing with hills and highways of my city. From your youtube broadcasts and comments, 72V 80A is the final sweet spot for our rides. Therefore I’d like to have your valuable experiences, thoughts and suggestions on my following issues below: 900-1000 RPM will be the best option for me under several conditions. Cranking up the voltage to 72v seems to be the cure for this issue. However there are terminology like “flux weakening” while talking about speed of BLDC motors. I am planning to buy VOTOL EM-70S controller for more output. It has “flux weakening” and the programming interface seems to be more user-friendly than most of the others on the market. Its negative aspect is supporting only 60A nominal whereas 80A could have been better for us. If you suggest a different controller, which controller should I use in terms of i. Programmability and customizability, maybe having “self-learn” advantage ii. presence of “flux-weakening” option for extra speed, iii. durability of MOSFETs and overall setup iv. conformity to the BLDC motor of our bikes v. applicability with our default double cylinder shaped speedometer display I I’d like to thank you in advance for your valuable answers and guidance.
I had long ago upgraded to a 72v 80a PURE SINE WAVE controller as a clone of the SABVOTON ML7280/MZ7280 PURE SINE WAVE controller for my 2500W 60v hub motor, Yes 72v for a 60v motor. Motors are not voltage bound, they are watts so i am now getting over 4000W. The original 2500W motor can run 24/7 at 2500W but can put out over 10KW for 10/15 seconds and 5KW for a minute or so WITHOUT damage. VOLTAGE= speed.

I think the controller ist faulty, because everytime i reach 35kmh (high setting) the Motor&Display goes to zero Energy for 5seconds but 12V works normal always. On Low (25kmh) theres no problems. When i buy a replace Controller (same specs) how to Set it to max 45kmh or is it out of the box? I did buy a 72V / 2000w Controller first because my seller say this fit. But all connectors are not the same 🥴 This looks like the faulty one 🤔
VERY RARELY DO ALL CONTROLLERS MATCH ON THE CONNECTOR TYPES, IT IS BETTER TO MATCH THE FUNCTION WIRES TOGETHER AND CHANGE THE CONNECTOR TO MATCH BUT THE FUNCTIONS ARE CLOSELY DONE THE SAME. THE HIGHER PRICE CONTROLLERS HAVE A BLUETOOTH OR USB PROGRAMMING FEATURE TO SET YOUR PARAMETERS YOU WANT. AND 35KPH IS A SLOW 21.75MPH THAT 3000W SETUP SHOULD GO NEARLY 50MPH OR 80KPH, FOR 35KPH YOU WOULD ONLY NEED MAX OF 350W JUST ABOUT 10% OF WHAT YOU HAVE.
ON 3000W CONTROLLERS THEY SOMETIMES HAVE A "POWER LEVEL/GEARS" OF 1-2-3 AND AND LEVEL 2 IS NORMAL POWER AND LEVEL 1 IS 33% LESS POWER AND LEVEL 3 IS 33% MORE POWER, IN GENERAL LEVEL 1 IS 30MPH/48KPH LEVEL 2 IS 40MPH/65KPH AND LEVEL 3 IS 50+MPH/80+KPH, IN GENERAL.

Have same issue as juliusdades and some others. Controller is turning on, correct voltage and wiring at hall and throttle but motor is does not move or make a sound. Have tried all 36 possible phase combinations, nothing, no output to motor at all. Can you please verify if this is same problem and also that purple wire is learn and needs to go to 12v as stated?
THERE IS NO LEARNING WIRE, THE PURPLE WIRE (HIGH BRAKE) THAT GOES TO 12V ONLY GOES TO 12V WHEN YOU APPLY THE BRAKES LIKE HOOKED TO THE 12V BRAKE LIGHT BULB AND THIS DISABLES THE MOTOR.
@@TechKnowCSS Ok then, tell us what is wrong? Same as juliusdades i have several scooters and motors, I can get all to work with each other exept this controller. Also, I am aware the purple wire is "possibly" h brake. Funny thing is, Sabvoton say it is h brake but it that it also needs to be connected to batt + at first. Second funny thing is I connected it as jd says and controller now runs motors very very smooth LOLOL, though it seems speed limited. My controller also has single grey wire. Seems knowbody knows anything about these things including sellers and suppliers, when you ask for manual or anything you always getwrong diagram.

@@TechKnowCSS Wow, upper case, you may want to retract that. After buying several of this style controller and after much homework I have found: 1) white wires are in fact learning wires and no one knows how this works until now. 2) the high brake line can accept 12v (as low as 8v if fact) to full battery voltage. 3) I have figured it out, for the most part, and now have controllers working at correct voltage which has been the problem. My battery is 60v and controller has been thinking it is 72v battery because it was not learning what voltage battery. Because of this controller was going into lvc while battery is still almost fully charged. I now know how to fix this and on these controllers it is not as simple as "just" connecting white wires. I need to do a video lol. Have a nice day.

THE CORRECT CHARGER FOR YOUR BATTERIES GOES TO IT IF THEY ARE LEAD ACID OR LI-ION IF IT HAS A BMS THAT IS COMMON PORT, OTHERWISE CHARGE THE LI-ION BATTERY BY IT'S OWN CHARGING PORT.

Hi fellow veteran, I purchased a 48v 750w rear hub Chinese ebike and I am attempting to add a second front hub motor with a cycle analyst and shunt to be connected to 1 battery. I have 2 of these controllers for 2 hub motor controllers and understand that both need to be wired for power, motor and hall sensor lines. Only 1 controller will need to connected through the throttle to activate the motors and I will adjust the amps through the cycle analyst. My issue is the rest of the accessories, head & tail light, directionals, brake light, speedometer/battery display, pas, brake switches are all different color wires from the original and new controllers. Also the wires are used for all the accessories are the dongle cables so i cannot see which color is coming from which switch as they are all inclosed into a junction type dongle where 4 or 5 dongle cables from the handlebars go in to the junction an 2 come out going to the controller. And as you know, the wiring diagram you showed on the video I have as well, none of the wires are marked for accessories. Can you advise me on how to proceed with this. Thanks
LEAVE THE ORIGINAL CONTROLLER ALONE AND MAKE A "Y" ADAPTER FOR THE BATTERY SO YOU CAN POWER THE SECOND CONTROLLER. THEN USE ONE SINGLE WIRE TO GO FROM THE THROTTLE SIGNAL TO THE THROTTLE INPUT CONNECTOR OF THE NEW CONTROLLER, THEN ONE SINGLE WIRE FROM THE BRAKE HANDLE MOTOR CUT OFF OUTPUT TO THE NEW CONTROLLER BRAKE CUTOUT. THERE IS GREAT HELP ON THE SITE electricscooterparts DOT COM.(one-throttle-two-controllers)
I'm upgrading the original controller and battery to a 60v system. Which wires on the controller would I use to connect the lights that came on the ebike. The lights are rated 12v with a converter integrated with the system.
@@robertshea9766 WHAT YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW IS WHERE TO HOOK UP YOUR 12V CONVERTER TO POWER THE LIGHTS, THE POWER FOR THE INVERTER GOES TO THE 60V POWER ON SWITCH / KEY THEN EVERYTHING ELSE WOULD STAY THE SAME. GOOD LUCK.
does it Work with LH-100 DISPLAY?
NOT SURE, BUT THE SPEEDOMETER ONE WIRE OPERATES ALL MY DISPLAY DATA, SPEED, GEAR/POWER LEVEL, BRAKE INDICATOR. I GUESS AS A DATA WIRE YOU COULD TRY IT WITH LOW CHANCE OF HURTING ANYTHING.

SORRY NO, BUT THERE IS A VERSION THAT HAS THE DONGLE TO PROGRAM WITH TO USB, NEED TO COPY THE PIN OUTS AND ORDER THAT DONGLE.

Good job, but I don't understand why you took the timing cover apart...
BECAUSE YOU MUST REMOVE THE TIMING CHAIN UNDER THE COVER TO REMOVE THE HEAD. I DID NOT TAKE THE TIMING COVER APART BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING ON THE COVER BUT THE OIL PUMP WHICH I NEVER MESSED WITH.

YES, AND MORE RANGE AND EASIER ON THE MOTOR. LESS WASTED POWER.
sine wave always beats square wave or so-called "modified" square wave (which is very slightly less ugly square wave) in terms of noise, efficiency and durability of the motor and the controller. Usually, mostly. It's a bit like the wild west out there for quality control. Super duper information resources here. @@TechKnowCSS

@@chrisrenek9152 For an electric scooter it is pretty dope and honestly that is not the m one p but Looks identical except it does not have the logo Because it's from a different brand not the m one p it from emora Anyhow the emora goes about 40 miles an hour That's pretty much anywhere you want to go except the highway. And the best part you don't have to pay for gas. And you can definitely go 40 Miles on a single charge So you don't have to worry about when I'm out of electricity.and that is just a basic package But if you're looking for someone that looks a little more like a harley look at the m 1 p s it go 70 miles per charge. Whit a four thousand w motor

Is there any sort of lock out wiring that need to be connected, when we power on our the red light seems to flash a 4 blink sequence and we have no movement from the motor when we apply throttle
DID YOU HAVE AN ADULT HELP YOU WITH THE WIRING? YOU MAY HAVE SOMETHING CONNECTED WRONG. ONLY HOOK UP BATTERY, MOTOR AND THROTTLE. AND THE ONE POWER ON WIRE AND SEE WHAT THAT DOSE.

KEY TO USE IS TRY TO STAY AT ORIGINAL TOP SPEED AS POSSIBLE BUT USE THE EXTRA POWER FOR PASSING AND FOR SHORT BURST, I GET NEARLY 7KW OUT OF MY 2.5KW MOTOR. THE WATTS RATED IS FOR CONTINUOUS USE, BUT IT CAN HANDLE 3X OR MORE FOR A SHORT BURST SHOT. ELECTRIC MOTORS ARE RATED WITH WATTS NOT VOLTAGE SO YOU CAN USE HIGHER OR LOWER VOLTAGES.
